During his career Endel Tulving has received many awards and honours, some of which are showcased below.
Endel Tulving was awarded the prestigious
Pasteur-Weizmann / Servier International Prize for his work on the neuropsychology of memory.
Endel Tulving received this prestigious award "For pioneering research in the understanding of human memory, and providing the necessary framework within which findings in neuroanatomy, neuroplysiology, and neuropharmacology can be integrated."
One of the most humbling moments of his career was when, upon being elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of London, he had to sign his name in the BOOK where Sir Isaac Newton had had to sign his name 320 years earlier. The photo here was taken at the Royal Society's ceremony in 1992.
